To install a new one you must turn the screw in to release tge tension while bolting it on. With a small flat screwdriver. I would recommend just getting a manual timing chain adjuster. They are about $50 on ebay. I have manual ones in my 400ex motors. Adjust the manual ones to the insructions that come with.Be certain the valve clearance is within factory spec.
